Junior Staff

The Junior Staff is a vital part of the HOBY seminar. Although most of the work is behind the scenes, they are involved in almost every aspect of the weekend. Whether it be setting up for a meal, coordinating the talent show, or passing out supplies, Junior Staff members are always around to help out. We are delighted that you are interested in applying and look forward to your application.

Junior Staff selections are based on several factors, including answers to questions on this application, help in planning the seminar, community service hours completed, etc. HOBY participants are asked to complete at least 100 hours of community service. You should have completed these by the application deadline, March 20.

If you have never been on the Junior Staff before, complete the Application for New Junior Staff Member. If you have been on the Junior Staff in past years, you will need to complete the Application for Returning Junior Staff Member. Please make sure that you complete the correct application. The applications differ in many ways, and questions will not be appropriate if you choose the wrong one.

Please note that all applicants -- new and returning Junior Staff -- must have completed 100 hours community service work since the June 2016 seminar, and those hours must be logged in with HOBY International.

In order to apply you MUST be able to attend HOBY Thursday, June 1, through Sunday, June 4, 2017.

The deadline for submitting this application is March 20, 2017. Late applications will NOT be accepted. You can mail the application to Mississippi HOBY, c/o Mary Parker Janoush, 1400 Van Buren #304, Oxford MS 38655. Or, email to maryparkerjanoush@yahoo.com. We will send you an email when we receive your application notifying you that it is being processed.  If you submit your application but do not hear from us and the deadline is approaching, please contact us to make sure we received it properly.

You will be notified of the committee’s decision by April 7. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Junior Staff Co-Directors Andy Bell at andybell4221@gmail.com & Mary Parker Janoush @ maryparkerjanoush@yahoo.com or  ccchapman89@gmail.com
